It is well known that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables supports overall health and wellbeing and that not consuming whole foods contributes to the onset of chronic health problems. Still, most adults in the U.S. consume an average of fewer than three servings of fruits and vegetables daily. This is well below the suggested seven to nine servings per day suggested by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion. Many patients may benefit from a formula designed to bridge these nutritional gaps.
Each ingredient offers strong foundational nutrition for supporting long-term health paired with micronutrient and herbal therapies to support daily nutrient needs.
Comprehensive fruit and vegetable blend and clinically tested superfood
Renewal Greens features 18 different fruits and vegetables each with a high antioxidant profile.
This formula also includes the clinically researched superfood Capros®, a proprietary super antioxidant created by Natreon. It is derived from a Amla fruit and has a high ORAC value of 47,000 μmoles. Also known as Indian Gooseberry, Amla (Phyllanthus emblica, Emblica officinalis) is native to India and Asia and is an important plant in Ayurvedic medicine A 2013 study looked at the effects of amla fruit on endothelial dysfunction and biomarkers of oxidative stress in patients with Type 2 diabetes. The study included eighty eligible patients who were randomized to receive either P. emblica 250 mg twice daily, P. emblica 500 mg twice daily, atorvastatin 10 mg in the evening and matching placebo in the morning, or placebo twice daily for 12 weeks. The randomized, double-blind placebo controlled study concluded that 250 mg of P. emblica significantly improved endothelial function and systemic inflammation. In addition, the super fruit improved the lipid profile and HbA1c levels compared to baseline and placebo.
